Buffet just sold 13M shares of Delta. It’s one of my largest positions. Time to freak out that it’s going to 0?

Buffet hasn’t performed that well over the last five years so... get new idols

Your condescension notwithstanding, the article is referring to a 10yr horizon where the starting point for the SPY was ridiculously low. So that’s slightly different from your original comment.

I take some pride in having read every BRK shareholder letter that’s now published on the website. In the time referred to, BRK has retained >$100B in cash. So the company is nowhere close to being fully invested. And BRK continues to make some outstanding acquisitions as it shifts away from the mainstays that have driven intrinsic value over the last decade.

Hopefully you’re crushing it in your own mini-hedge fund / personal investments. Wherever WB is, I’m sure he’s all good.

Delta will sink before it gets back. Watch for Buffet to repurchase at a lower price later. He is smart.

I’d sell now and buy back in later

Good to know. Now I will sell my 13M shares of DAL, too.

Hey still has 50 million shares of DAL. He only sold enough so he owns less than 10% of Delta

Theory is he is just going to slowly unload

What’s everyone thoughts on airlines at the moment? Gonna wait for it to continue to fall? Any at risk of going under?

Wait, Q2 will be massacre for airlines, cruises, hotels, etc.

If the market knows what’s going to happen. Right now a lot of investors still holding on hope that the bailout will be enough to cover cash the airlines are bleeding through this.

Sell

And we know this how?

If he thought delta was going to 0, he would have unloaded all at once.

Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

Random question for anyone who has ever exchanged/gotten a replacement away travel suitcase. Is there any flexibility to get a different color? My interior zipper broke and I stopped in a store to ask if they do repairs and they said to bring it in and they’ll just replace it. My fiancé and I (ages 30 and 31) are about to buy a house. We would put down 10% for a 835k purchase price. Our combined income is $265k. We both have around 7-10k left in emergency funds (each) and combined about 200k for retirement. Our mortgage is $4,500 a month and we split a car payment for $800. Is this an okay financial decision or should we have bought a cheaper house/saved more?

Can someone point me to some material where I can read about profit sharing vs 401k. I get the concept, but I am trying to understand is 10% profit sharing vested over 5 years better than an employee 401k match of 6%?

From my understanding 10% PS is better because it’s just a standard 10% on top of whatever I contribute though it takes 5 years to vest. Does this mean if I leave before 5 years I don’t get any of it?
