Disagree. Someone’s individuality earns the company dollars by creating a safe environment for people to express themselves. This is proven to increase retention, reduce cost with mental health issues (e.g., leave of absences), among other things.
OP, please wear your studs to the office. Everyone else will benefit by felling they can be authentic as well.

There is a worthwhile distinction between fanciful and safe environments. The benefits you’ve alleged, if they exists at all, are marginal and likely trivial in practice with respect to personal jewelry choices.
The studies you’re likely referencing relate to core individuality characteristics like religion, race, sexual identity, and other protected class characteristics whose formal protection and general respect-for-which absolutely do improve employee morale and lead to better performance.
Also, it’s worthwhile to know the difference between “earn” (i.e. generate revenue) and mitigate loss (e.g. “increase retention”) when it comes to business.

seems to be a mixed bag on results. I just enjoy wearing them and thought maybe in general no one minds, but it seems better safe than sorry. I wish that in 2022 people wouldn’t be as concerned with this type of thing but as it appears older more conservative office co workers may not appreciate it. I’ll only do it if it seems like the office wants 😂 I will add though that I am in a pretty liberal and progressive city.
