Can anyone tell me if there is Christmas holiday of 1 week in EY GDS for all employees? I'll be joining soon and I'm planning for a Christmas vacation.

It depends on your work deliverables and team. You can always avail your personal and Annual leaves planning it advance so that you get your off time without any issues

In Infosys, the management used to be very toxic when it came to taking leaves, they would make a scene for even availing 3 or 4 days of leaves, even if we intimidated 2 or 3 months earlier. Here I have joined just now, so I'm not sure if i tell now, if it would create a bad impression, should I tell in November? I'm planning for a 4 days leave before Christmas

No,it's not there.

Is the management good in terms of accepting leave requests?

If that's not your peak time of work, it should be okay to approach them!

Located in the best area of Mexico City with a ton of restaurants, cafes, and parks. High speed internet with standing desk, large TV, external monitor, and more. Message me your email or phone number and we can text to exchange pictures and more information.

Deloitte moms, I need your guidance. For some reason, someone (not sure which team) has marked my maternity leave (LOA) starting next week on DTE and I can’t update it to show PTO. I have repeatedly told the Leaves team and MetLife that I’m not starting LOA until the baby comes (due date 10/31, no baby yet). Whom do I contact to fix the DTE issue? If this happened to you, what did you do?

Didn’t go to top tier law school and graduated with 3.2 gpa yet have 3 years experience and being lawyer was 2nd career.  Recently working with a boutique for per diem work who gave offer which is a lot lower than prior role (over $40k). Role would have no billables and practically 50% split—what are your thoughts?

I work with several people with kids and I have noticed quite often that they completely disregard any issues of people with no kids and try to one up work life imbalance conversations with stories of them being parents. It must be hard being a parent but I don’t think people at work should be treated differently or given any additional consideration just because they have a kid. You already get parental leave so If I’m expected to work 12hr I ask the same to be expected from my peers with kids.

To everyone interviewing, to hopefully calm some nerves: The process is really long. Not hearing back from the recruiter for a few days, or even weeks, is completely normal. There can be multiple weeks between rounds and then multiple weeks before you get feedback. Don’t think too much into it. There is no indication of positive or negative by no response. On average it takes 3+ months, and usually 2+ application attempts, to get hired. Good luck! 🍀

Is it normal to bill 40 hours instead of 45? It's a long term project and manager wants the entire team to bill at 40 even though we work 50
