Nice people get job offers. Assholes get promotions.
Nice people should job hop to get ahead.
I think assholes tend to get ahead in many industries, consulting probably has one of the highest success rates for assholes though. I think it’s really firm dependent - there are nice people in leadership roles at GT (not all of them, I’m no bootlicker). Obviously, coming to mid market you give up the prestige, clients, & work opportunities that bigger/boujier firms bring to the table.
Yes, you can. Infact being talented and nice helps you find people who would want to work with you.
Depends what you look like.
Are they a-holes or just more assertive?
Yes
I’m not one and I think I’m doing ok? Come check it out?
A lot of ex Kearney are at Alix, interesting option
I’m working with some really nice partners and some really selfish ones
Most partners are super nice people, I just don’t work with the very few exceptions we have 😅
@author , there is a study which was done that said sociopaths make up good ceos. You can disconnect from emotions and take business decisions. If you look at most industries, you can see such people lead. The real nice/human loving players get pushed back.
Where are you based OP
Kearney Defense League, assemble! 🦸♀️🦸♂️
Yes, it’s possible

Nice as in people who are more willing to give up opportunities for others? Sure, but in general people who are more assertive move up quicker.
Yes, but requires luck
Yes :)
I’m so sorry to say this cause you can’t generalize everyone but that is definitely kind of the vibe I got from interviewing with kearny
Very broad generalization. ☺️
Depends if you have a nice person to support you who happens to be an influential figure otherwise tough luck
Define ‘nice’
Yes - at least at my firm. If you don't feel like you fit in the firm culture, would try to find a place you fit in and build long term success there.
I’m nice. I’m a P. My team loves me. It’s all good :)
