I just got an offer from EY in London but considering based on what the maternity policy is which doesn’t seem to be spelt out in contract or benefits pdf. Does anyone know a) if there’s a minimum employment period to qualify and b) what the enhanced maternity pay is. I’ve read both 16 weeks and 18 weeks.

Yes, you can get laid off while pregnant or on maternity leave.
Yes, you can. That said most companies would be extremely cautious in doing so as not to be liable for discrimination. They would need an airtight case.
If a whole team/department is being laid off, the pregnant lady will be to of course. But it's unlikely a company would lay off just the pregnant women (although it can still happen and it can be done so legally)
If they are laying off a group (assuming the group isn't pregnant), then it won't be a problem. Additionally, if you were on PIP before the pregnancy was known, they can lay you off without much fear of being successfully sued.

Yes. You would need to prove that you were laid off *because* you were pregnant if you were to pursue legal recourse if that happened to you.
No you can't. However, upon returnleave, you can be let go.

Why do you post if you don’t know the answer? Just curious...

Two words: at will.
Worth noting that at will employment doesn't allow for discrimination of protected classes. You can be pregnant and laid off, but you can't be laid off because you're pregnant (in most if not all states in the US)
