PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.

- always take a call with a recruiter if they reach out (or at least request enough information to understand if the opportunity is interesting to you). You never know when a recruiter you talk to now might have a different role in the future that can be interesting to you.
- definitely continue to pursue any interview opportunities you have in front of you. If you determine that a company isn’t interesting to you, or the opportunity doesn’t make sense, then definitely remove yourself from the process. But don’t pause an interview cycle just because your current employer says they want you to stick around, or because other opportunities might be more interesting. The only thing that matters are offers on paper.
- in the same vain, remember that you are also interviewing the company and the potential hiring manager. Always come to every interview with at least 2 or 3 questions you hope to have answered. Be clear on what kinds of companies you want to work for, and what kind of bosses help you be successful. Don’t just accept a job cuz they give you an offer, try to determine if you will truly be happy there ahead of time. It can save you a lot of headaches in the long run, especially if you can identity some of the common red flags through the interview process instead of after quitting your current job and starting a new job only to find it that you aren’t happy.
- $100k for a software engineer with 4 YOE isn’t very high, depending on your location. If your current employer can’t meet that, it tells me that they know they aren’t competitive. I wouldn’t invest too much time or effort in getting them to match anything if an offer did come in.
- there’s an “art” to interviewing, both with technical interviews and with “cultural” interviews. Take a bit of time to understand how to structure your interview answers in a way that fits the expectations. This will increase your chances of being successful.

Where they offering the $100k? If you can get more then go for it, but also be mindful that your current company's already be looking for your replacement, knowing that they can pay enought ro keep you, and you don't want to be in a situation where you are replaced before you land your next role.
