MBB AP about to exit to non-FAANG tech. Would you expect a signing bonus and/or pre-determined severance pay if things don't work out with the new company? I’m well liked around the office, I put in the hours and work hard, I haven’t had any dumpster fire projects, but I am a mediocre performer compared to my peers (not as strong project management, communication, not as confident). I’ve been working as a contract TAS for 6 months in a medical device company. I started part time and as it became busier/my trainer quit, I became full-time. I applied for the TA position through corporate and would like some insight. the company is short staffed and my site specifically does not have good TA retention. For the salary expectation, I put in 85k which is in the range. I’m currently at 64k which is below the minimum of the range. Is this realistic?

Apologizes if this is a dumb question: but do companies keep the same pay for every employee regardless of location?

For example: paying someone a base of 80k in Georgia vs paying someone 80k in California

or do they make exceptions when it comes to base salary on location?

Leadership asked me to move to a corporate apartment since the project is long term. Hate the apartment, terribly maintained and no restaurants nearby. There are C/SCs who live there and hate it too..
