All else equal, there are very few (if any) situations where someone will choose a CMA over a CPA. CPA is the gold standard regardless of PA or industry. I hear the content of CMA is useful to learn if you'll be doing cost accounting work, but the actual credential is generally not highly valued.
After getting my CPA I thought about going for the CMA, but I realized it was a waste of time/money and I'd be better served using that time to network with the departments I'm interested in.

When you take it next time, spend time memorizing the simulation topics and MCQ broad topics and write them down when you get back to your car. The exam only partially changes between windows so this will be a big advantage next time. I’ve taken FAR a bunch of times

SA1 I was referring to memorizing the sim topics on the real exam, I agree practice sims are a waste of time
I have both. I’ve seen the cpa required for a lot of jobs. I’ve seen cma for a few jobs. Audit is hard. Review far
Cpa is valuable. Cma imo was a waste of money. Pass the cpa exams. I barely graduated hs. If I can pass on my second attempt anyone can
I’m in tax, and a scored the highest of all the parts in AUD (from the first try). You can do it! Don’t give up!
If all your worried about is Audit, do whatever you can to pass! Lectures, MCQs, and read the questions SLOWLY. It’s passable even for a non-auditor! 😊 CMA is still a fantastic certification if you go that route!
I just felt like I learned nothing in the class so it will be more “self teaching” with my review course. Thank you!
