Additional Posts in Googlers & Xooglers
I have applied to several positions up Google. I have not heard anything back at all. No matter if I customize my résumé to the job description I still don’t hear anything back. I am wondering as to why Google ghost people instead of just telling them that they didn’t get the job? Do people on Google believe it is appropriate for the recruiters just a ghost people especially if they feel they don’t match the job?

No relo is a deal breaker, but I’m surprised. G gives every one relo AFAIK
Thanks EY!!
Seems like you’re getting shafted, haven’t heard of any company which doesn’t give their employees an annual bonus. Annual RSU refreshers at least?
That'll be my question to them too! Thanks for bringing it up. 👍
How’d that compare to a Google L5 offer potentially?
I start going into the negotiation process tomorrow. Will accept $190K base and $200K RSU.
Just to be clear - you do not currently have an offer at Google, just trying to see how this offer from another company stacks up against what Googles offer *might* be?
What role and what location
Thanks everyone for responding. Here’s how I’d like to approach given their offer as of stands with no relocation, no signing bonus, no annual bonus. My ask will be —
Annual salary $210K (offered $170K)
RSU $240K (offered $160K / 4 years)
Signing bonus $15-25K (I have to bargain?)
It’s hard not to have either a signing or relo but I’d want them to reconsider and make an exception. I am leveraging on the feedback that came from the hiring manager that the team gave great feedback based on our interviews and everyone (6 people) apparently gave their thumbs up to hire me.
Anything else I am missing, my friends?
Also, realistically speaking this is what I will accept —
Annual $190K
RSU $200K
Relo/signing $15K
What’s the target annual bonus?
None. See my post right above.
