Considering starting my own firm but scared of the thought of going 1-2yrs with no income. Has anyone ever picked up a random, non-attorney role while starting a firm to continue receiving a paycheck? I’m just wanting to know how viable of a plan this would be.

I joined 6 months ago as a L5 manager. I like my team but don't enjoy the work. I also feel I was down levelled at the time of joining. Should I wait 6 months and move internally? How easy is internal mobility especially if I were to target a L6 role? Would applying outside be wise ?

Recently switched from audit to advisory. Not loving it, want to disconnect and switch careers/take a role outside of accounting. Thinking about putting two weeks in before the break without anything lined up. Thoughts?

I had 21 as fixed and 3 variable. Good salary for my experience. But then came covid and now I'm at 48 fixed salary.
Thanks to covid I was able to achieve this salary at just 7 yoe. When I joined the industry my manager at 10+ experience was earning 10-12 lakhs.
