Amazon's culture is just as bad as consulting as far as slave labor expectations. I wouldn't jump ship for that company.
Wouldn't do it unless it was big money. Amazon is going ride you all the way.
What's your current role? What's the new role? These are key details...
Stock options might be nice. But only do it if there's a sizable comp bump. Guaranteed, not some "you have the potential to earn up to xx% as a bonus" bullshit. Haha
Agree with you P3
Consultant level at Deloitte. Not sure the specific role at Amazon but I believe it's the equivalent. I have no background in supply chain which makes me apprehensive but, even though it's superficial, the amazon name is keeping me interested
Research. I've heard bad stuff on Amazon.
Amazon is as many or more hours. You won't have better work/life balance except for the lack of Travel
I don't understand the work life balance stuff on Amazon. I'm sure there are people that work at Amazon that work long hours because they actually love what they are doing. The people that complain are probably the people that chose to work there with wrong expectations.
Problem is those people create a culture of slaving away, which becomes the norm or expectation for others to do so as well.
Is it operations or area manager?? If so, don't.
Supply chain - procurement. My friend was interviewing for a role as a supply chain manager. But after asking them, learned that retention in Amazon is <2 years - tells you how much people can't even stay.
