IMO, you need at least one tub in the house but, that could be area dependent
I probably wouldn’t go through the effort for a rental or resale. You are taking away options. I do have 4 houses with showers only, one has a rooftop jacuzzi. It’s never been an issue. The one with the Rooftop jacuzzi is my most popular rental. I personally don’t like the tub shower combos they look cheap. The shower curtains are the worst. Straight out of the 70’s. Some parents prefer a tub for little kids, but you have a 1bdrm.
If I kept the tub, should I get a sliding glass door?

It may turn some buyers away, but it may not matter to others. You only need 1 buyer to like your place when you sell it (although multiple buyers can drive up the sale price). I have a 2br 2ba condo that does not have a tub and it’s been fine.
For a 1br, I can’t imagine not having a bath would hurt you. Since you still live there and will get to appreciate the shower, I would lean toward doing it.
Yeah but now I keep hearing different opinions. I might just keep it and reglaze.
