I think context matters a lot here, I have a few friends who took 8-9 years but worked (and paid) their way through school. To me that’s an incredibly attractive profile as a hiring manager. That was a while ago when tuition was cheaper, but the point about context stands.
They don’t need to know how long it took. Just put your degree on your LinkedIn profile/resume. No dates needed.
During recruiting, nobody can figure out how long it took you to finish a degree. So when you do, don’t mention how long it took, and just tell interviewers that you are excited to be done.
Agreed with VP1. Degree is all that’s necessary to include, and maybe the year in which it was received on the resume.
I’ve omitted graduation dates for years on LinkedIn and it’s never impacted me. Don’t sweat it, OP!
But aren’t we supposed to put the years we attended a university on our resume?
I only list the year I graduated on my resume
