At a base level, I’d argue a cpa provides a deep level of expertise in the what and the measurement of a corporation. Strategy is much more on the activities a corporate should execute to get the most out of portfolio of activities.
A CPA would show a depth of accounting knowledge that just isn’t required and would not provide the broader knowledge needed for strategy. One could argue the skill sets are also wildly different (e.g., you don’t 80/20 financial statements)
I could’ve just said no but hope this helps. Risk consulting more is good I’d argue. Lot of growth there.
