I’m trying to get a rotation in FDD but my partner is worried about temporarily losing resources in our advisory practice. So, what are some things I could learn in FDD that I could bring back to the advisory practice that might convince the partner to let me go on rotation?

Starting a new job at Applied Materials on Monday as a Manufacturing Engineer III. Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. They asked me to share the documents , but they didn't share the offer letter, it's been 1 week already.
Do they take time in releasing offer letters generally , or am I rejected already ?

Also, they mentioned 5% engagement bonus , and 8% annual bonus, do they give full amount , or some part of it.

How much an average candidate can expect from these bonus ?

I am contemplating a move to industry working at a VC, Tax Director role east coast. Looks like it will be primarily overseeing compliance with some aspect of advising on structures etc. There is another tax reporting head above me.

The potential comp is the low 200k with a 10% bonus (still higher than what I am making). I feel this is pretty low for VC standards but maybe my standards are also too high. I have generally seen 25% bonus with carry.
