Currently an M2 in Financial services interviewing for a job at a retail company. Wondering if you all think that switching from FSO to a retail is hurting my career at all since it wouldn't be using the specialization skills I've built in PA

Retail requires totally different skills, it’s big difference

like

Yes stay in FS unless you absolutely hate it

I don’t think it hurts your career. Ultimately accounting is the same regardless of industry. You will just be exposed to new FSLIs (and as a result new standards) that you haven’t dealt with in the past and the soft skills you’ve learned should help you succeed in this new industry.

People switch industries all the time with no issues.

A sincere advice for people in the age group bracket 22-26 years (max)

Get out of these shit IT corporate world.

Start preparing for SSC CGL(mainly target this exam). There are a hell lot of opportunities if you clear this exam and these jobs provides a lot of job respect in the society.
Even if the salary is 60-70k (starting salary) but the job security and the facilities are simply incomparable with the IT jobs.

Don't waste your time & energy in the ruthless labor market just for money.

Was able to leave IT Audit for cyber. Been in cyber strategy for a few years and don't feel it's for me as I miss more of asking teams to prove controls to me. I'm also at a lost of where I want to be in life. But for a salary and a title increase, Is it wise to go into an internal audit role in industry or is this a bad idea?

Which company would you join?

I currently work in Sales with the intention of moving over to marketing in the near future. I received two offers for BDR/SDR roles from
Sprout Social and Gong. Both salaries are around the same (Gong - base 63k + anticipated $25k in commission, Sprout - 55k base + anticipated $25k in commission).

I like both companies’ software and it extremely hard to decide which position will get me into marketing faster as it is not a traditional BDR path to take.

Help!

I’m starting to feel I’m not where I want to be at my age and want to transition into something that will get me to 6 figures or as close as possible. Open up advice!

I left the company after 6 months as I was in support project. Being a Senior Developer, I was not interested. I have been hired for development in new company but here also they put me in support and promised me the development project... If they don't provide development project, what are the options I have? If want to leave, how much duration I need to work here? Will it affect in future if I leave the company as I will be changing two companies within a year? Please advise me...

Hello Everyone,

I am working since last 8.5 years. But my prosperous growth is very average. To overcome that i also completed my MBA ans BA course but it's just another piece of paper in my case right now. My basic Education is Electrical Engineering and i work with an OEM. Starting was a struggling phase, did't get the very good start. Thought of changing domain too but always felt short of opportunities. Trying outside India but no luck there too. I want to be into management, suggestions?

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.

I need some legit feedback on what is it like to be a UXD at companies like Accenture?
They claim to do a lot of research oriented designs, as everyone. But is that really the case or it's like some other service based companies where the UX is almost vague, and happens mostly based on what the managers think to be good?

Does UX have any value or it's just drafting wireframes based on ideations by the managers and then UI designs?
