What is a deeply held truth that you believe?
Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

Engagement manager at Google is not what people think an engagement manager is. You are basically someone that does the SOW drafting and creating for the PSO work Google would do. You are NOT the person managing and responsible for delivery of the engagement.

I’m in Interactive and I can tell you our work is not as exciting as we make it sound externally. Accenture does a good job marketing ourselves but in reality it’s a lot of SI and AO work with a bit of Consulting ~ basically helping companies automate and outsource their marketing work and be agency of record.
What does that mean? That’s copywriting on campaigns and managing social media accounts/posts, and implement Salesforce/Adobe/SAP to automate their marketing processes, and helping define and build CRM and CDP to help make marketing and e-commerce teams more data driven. This is Interactive. If this interests you then yes you can consider Interactive.

Google. Even though Interactive is the hottest part of Accenture, the work is very hyped up. It's more or less just consulting but with better branding. I have friends in Interactive who have left or are actively trying to do so.

Accenture Interactive is one of the hottest parts of Accenture. You will get to work on extremely fascinating projects that range from the below:
- Digital Transformation
- Digital Marketing
- Marketing Transformation / Strategy
- Growth Strategy
- Digital Strategy
- Digital Products
The list goes on but those are just a few that I wanted to name.
Plus, at the manager level you will be the one owning the work stream and leading a team.
I will say Accenture Interactive is very highly regarded in the spaces that A6 mentioned (although the Growth Strategy has more of a digital twist than traditional MBB growth strategy). I’m in Accenture Strategy and would not recommend Acn Strat over Google ever. But if your interests align with the specialties of Accenture Interactive and you’re not as excited about the day to day of the google role, it’s worth consideration.

I usually tell people to stay at Accenture until manager + 1 year. The mgr training and responsibility is good at that level. Above that level the before are meh

I got offers from both leaving my previous B4 and don’t regret this decision (yet!?)
