Currently working in Admin Services and I hate the culture can’t stand being treated like a servant. Literally went from doing actual client work where I was respected to getting paid to fetch coffee and water. (Not joking) I enjoy the company but my current role is demeaning. Any suggestions on how I can exit admin services? I’ve applied for several positions. However it’s starting to feel like I just won’t get the opportunity to do something challenging. My degree is in Criminal Justice and I’m currently finishing my project management certification. My HR manager is aware of my desire to move and suggested I network. Any other suggestions.

Last year due to covid got laid off and then didn't got any opportunity due to visa issues. Later myself and my family got covid positive and unfortunately my father expired due to covid.
So I have got gap of 1.3 years in my career.
Now I want to start giving interviews and get back in the game.
My concern is with 2 things here
1. I lack confidence/motivation due to the gap.
