How do you ask someone to mentor you?
Countdown... beginning now
Got an interview request from Amazon for Sr. Digital Marketing Manager. I have been interviewed by and worked for multiple big names like Mcafee, Meta, Microsoft but never by Amazon. I’m wondering how’s their hiring process, what kind of questions and tasks are waiting for me, how many steps are there etc.
Thank you in advance, everyone!

Bottom line is I’ve never met a full timer at my same level that makes anywhere near what I make freelancing (assuming I’m working).
The avg art director in NYC makes anywhere from 75k to 150k. To make 150k I have to work less than half a year. Think about that. 150 days and I’m done. Less than that if my gig offers overtime. I get asked to become staff at almost every agency I’ve worked at and I’ve never had an offer above 150. I always turn it down bc that would be ridiculous
What agency is paying $1200-$1400 day rates?
That sounds pretty generous even by NYC standards?
A senior day rate in NYC tends to fall between $1200-1400 (give or take) as far as what I’ve earned and heard. Not sure you’ll get a number narrowed down to a specific agency.
Never gonna get as much salaried as freelance. Never
but when you take 30% off for taxes, still make more freelancing ?
@Ad uhhh you pay either the same amount as salaried people or in some cases less than them (if you have an s-Corp for example)
So we make more and are taxed the same or less.
If you are not an s-corp then you do pay more in taxes. When you are salary your company matches your contributions to social security, Medicare... when you work for yourself you have to pay that part too. Additional 10-15% I’ve heard estimated.
If you are an s-corp then your taxable income is less so you owe a smaller amount but you still have to pay that other part.
I saved 40% last year and had enough to pay all the taxes and put the max into a SEP IRA. Just saving 30% this year cause of new tax codes and am now s-corp.
GD1 seems u have good experience in this. Why not an llc? Why an s-crop. Also why not c-crop?
