When you get staffed on an ongoing engagement...

Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

If they are asking you to sign that document, they already know that they have some issues. So, the question is if the actual job turned out to be extremely different that discussed/described is the document really worth signing? Because do you really have anything good to say about someone who lies to you?
I personally haven't but I work with someone who had to for her last job. It came with extra money so she did it.
In one of my previous role, I was surprised to be asked to sign a non-disparagement agreement during the onboarding process. Having worked with many reputable companies before, this was the first time I encountered such a requirement, and it immediately raised concerns. In hindsight, it was an early red flag.
Once I started, it became clear that the role I was hired for was very different from what had been described. I was told I would be handling executive support tasks like calendar management and travel coordination. Instead, I found myself taking on a wide range of unrelated responsibilities typically handled by IT and operations.
I configured new computers, set up email accounts for new hires, helped employees with login issues, shipped legal documents internationally, handled customer shipments, and even processed payments through foreign platforms. Being the only person physically present in the office, I became the default go-to for nearly everything—essentially acting as a one-person operations hub.
There was little to no training, unclear expectations, and a general lack of support. The work environment felt disorganized and emotionally draining. On the day I was let go, a colleague from the finance department told me she had also decided to quit. When I asked why, she said she could no longer tolerate the toxic atmosphere and needed peace of mind to live a normal life. She also said something that really stayed with me: “In a world of crows, being a swan is a crime.” It was her way of describing a culture where positivity, grace, or simply being different was not only unwelcome but punished.
That experience taught me the importance of transparency, respect, and being part of a workplace that values its people rather than taking advantage of them.
