Kind of like my stocks, I don’t actively track my net worth. Certainly there is some utility in understanding where you stand in relation to your financial goals, but for me tracking this metric adds very little value to my life.

Yup, linked all my accounts. So far it’s a great app.

Personal Capital and Wealthfront. The latter is better for NW projections. The former is better for cash flow tracking.

I’ve tried out various platforms and ultimately landed on Personal Capital. Although the budgeting tools aren’t as good as other platforms, the other planning tools and net worth charts are above the competition in my opinion. I especially like the savings tracker to formally reflect my investments over the year and the various taxable/non-taxable buckets / year-over-year savings.

Nerd wallet is pretty good. You can see all accounts and set saving goals and budget. It can suggest credit cards and has discounts to help you save money along with monitoring your credit score. They also offer rood articles about financial stability and independence.

Hey Guys,

What is reasonable or competative salary for family person in Singapore cost of living onwards.
Is 9k a good salary after tax for 4 members. It can be considered that school cost would be 2.5k, and house 2.5k. will the overall cost for month can come under 7.5 k ? It realistic or just illusion ?

Anyone know how true this is, how the process works, or have any advice? Is it a good idea

I spent the last 3 months "growing up" & now I'm ready to go. 1st thing is for me to get my own place. I'd like to buy instead of rent because I don't want to pay someone else's mortgage.

I'm thinking of selling my car & cash out some of my 401k to buy a house. My thought is to put down 3.5% for a FHA loan then make a big payment towards the principal to reduce long-term interest.

Anything wrong with this thinking or anything else I should consider?

Decided to payoff my mortgage.
