Yes, M1 is correct - short-term disability is 6 weeks for natural labor, 8 weeks for C-section + 1 week waiting period where you charge PTO between birth and STD + 16 weeks parental leave. So in total up to 25 weeks at once
Actually depends on the state re:pre-birth STD. In California, you get a couple of weeks and it doesn’t impact the leave once the baby is born. Same for any medically necessary STD pre-birth, you still get that 23-25 weeks post-birth
I’m assuming paid parental leave is the same for the guys. We had 16 weeks paid in full - so presume the rest is short term disability ?
Thank you! That is truly amazing.
Does KPMG provide the same or worse maternity benefits than Deloitte?
Worse.
3 weeks STD pre birth (if baby comes late, you get more, if baby comes early, you lose what you don’t use).
6 weeks STD after birth + 6 weeks of paid parental time off.
So a total of 15 weeks.
Before I got pregnant, I was under the false impression that you get roughly 6 months. But in reality, anything after the 15 weeks needs to be PTO or unpaid leave.
