I asked for 180... we’ll see what they come back with
how technical are you ? staff size ? agency size ? I’d say $130-$160. but that can vary depending on your answers.
@AD1 sounds like we should both quit and start an analytics agency
*creative agency
Depending on your skills I'd shoot for 140 to 180 base. Don't sell yourself short. Especially when making a jump.
@OP I'm very similar to you, -data science, +programming and people management. I'm at 155, now managing $1mm client team of 6 people.
@OP were you applying for new position with your current employer or a spot with a new company?
Really curious to hear how it pans out! Sounds like you maybe near the top of their mark and they're evaluating how much they want you vs how it impacts their financial picture vs what other candidates they have in the hopper. Often we'll advertise the role, then align seniority and offer with perceived experience and expertise, if the account/office can support the proposed payroll.
@D1 Big Name agency. Worldwide, big accounts, big holding company. Highly technical R/Python/SQL. Expert tableau user. Finance background pre advertising.
towards the higher end of what I suggested.
keep us posted! can never hurt to ask!
I’m also in Chicago so my estimates for NY might be a little low
Director 1, what range would you say for him in Chicago
$150 max - I interviewed as all the big shops in Chicago and that was the highest any of them would go. $125-$150 depending.
Sounds about right with 8 years, especially at creeative
Depends on your specialized skills, but $147-165 would be what you’d make at my agency which is a few thousand people and owned by own of the major holding companies.
Well they kind of just clammed up. HR didn’t seem to have gotten the director title memo either. It was kind of weird.
New company.
I️ don’t think an extra 30k is going to make or break the role. They want it to touch at least 3 accounts. One company I️ actually used to work for before my time in advertising
how long have you been an AD ?
