I’ve learned to warn them that I’m going MIA for a bit because it’s just been a lot, this helps mitigate hurt and insecurity on their end. Hope that helps 🤷🏻♀️
Tell a close friend. My buddies and I are better off talking to each other on how prevalent anxiety and depression can be instead of feeling like this is what we have to do on our own.
Everyone else you should adopt a harmless but boring hobby like antiquing for vintage postcards and always busy with that 😂
I usually warn my friends I need some time but I also recommend seeking help - it could be seasonal depression and there's help for that.

Just give them the “I’m good thanks!”. They’ll get the message. Although, I do think you should attempt to be around them for your own sake. Spending too much time alone and such is just going to make it worse. Force yourself to be with them and do fun stuff. Gets your mind off of it and always helps me
Say what you just said and how you said it. Be genuine and honest. Those who care the most will listen and be there for you when you are ready. Take your time after that. Be secure knowing that you are taking care of you.
Agree with all the advice on communication. Also, not that added benefits are top of mind right now, but it normalizes talking about mental health and that it’s common that we struggle with this and creates a space to discuss and support (all of which will matter more when you’re not at a low point). Take care of yourself! Positive vibes your way.
