Yes, I do appreciate it a little. Although, as someone who's terrible at remembering names, I don't take it personally if a customer forgets who I am while talking over the phone.
I don't know it's a warm, fuzzy feeling but it does make me feel seen and even shocks me sometimes
Hahaha! That's a good point. This usually means they had a really great or really bad experience for me
I don't get offended if they don't I get so many different names in a day sometimes I get them messed up so I can't remember their names sometimes
It's when they call the office again and they get me again and remember my voice or name. That's when the warm and fuzzy feels come in
Definitely yes! It makes me feel that I did my job really well and that I helped them by just doing my job. It its different when a customer remembers your name.
On the contrary, that unsettles me for some reason. I really don't like it. I feel like it should be mine to give but retail says otherwise. Having my services complimented though? Now that's something.
You know what? I'm inclined to agree. Unless it's 100% sincere, it's not going to come across very well... and calling a complete stranger by their name isn't very high on the list of things that make people feel good to hear.
"Thanks so much for your help, Michael. You have a great day." "It's Martin, actually." LOL.
Basically, kill a customer service person with kindness. They will almost always go the extra mile for you.
I do! I feel so special and appreciated. I just love the feeling.
