I have a second phone that is my “social media phone” its just an old iPhone 12 w/just Wi-Fi now. I put it somewhere random and uninstalled all apps on my main phone. My social media consumption is down to 30 mins a week and a lot of that is just posting my own content. Any old phone would work and if you don't have one lying around I'm sure you could find one for less than $100 to me that cost is easily recouped via the time you get back -use it wisely though :)!

Uninstall. The only thing that works for me. I use it on OC only, and I often forget of Instagrams existence.. The good side of forgetting. You can also use grey colors on your phone, makes it unattractive
Okay so gray colors is a great idea… Instagram and my phone in general feel less stimulating
If you set your IG up as a business profile you can download the IG for business app to still message people but not scroll as much!

You can set a time limit via settings. That’s what I do

the app “one sec” helped me a lot, it makes you pause and reflect if you actually want to open the app

Yeah I feel that… although I feel like I more so enjoy it in the moment i.e., it doesn’t bring me much satisfaction once I stop… Not sure if this is the case for you, but I’m hoping to reallocate time towards hobbies that bring me longer lasting joy like exercising or knitting ha
