Do big 4 positions really close/get filled that quickly? The past 4 EY positions I applied to has led to a generic email of the positions getting filled/closed. Cant tell if it’s a generic rejection or if the positions I applied to are filled bc of an internal hire. Thoughts?

I cleared Accenture interview and today got an email to upload documents on their portal. Also, got a call from HR and she asked about the salary expectations and other details. And few minutes later I found that my profile has been put on hold.

Director interview after super day?

Had a super day last week and I thought it went well, partner sent back a nice message to my thank you note. Trying not to read too into it, but is it normal to have an interview with another director after having already interviewed with a director (and a MD)?

I did mention I have interest in a specific area with a director last week and it looks like this next director I’m interviewing primarily works in that area.

I have been giving interview from last 2 months and yet I haven't got a single offer and people here are getting multiple offers. Even if interview goes nice, I would get rejection mail.

I guess Luck matters a lot even if you perform well. There would be always someone who will do better than you.

I am getting demotivated, but have to continue trying hard.

I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. If you had a table of customer experience/satisfaction survey responses for several questions (non-numeric but discrete possible answers, no free text; 1 question per column and 1 responder per row), how would you approach determining significant insights within the data? Excel's "Analyze Data" feature doesn't really suggest things that make sense in the real world. Is there something you would try with correlations somehow, or would you use a non-Excel tool entirely?

Any tips for being better at “informal mentee-ship ”? Im a new joiner who feels like remote means I’m not really learning nearly as much as I can from my team. That said, I can recognize the benefits of WFH and so want to learn to improve while not excluding the remote possibility.

I make $4000/M after taxes and max 401K and spend about $2400 for all fixed costs (rent, utilities, etc). With roughly $1600 left, and with a strong goal of saving as much as I can, what are some recommendations on how I should allocate my money better. I know this is vague but need some better financial planning.
