Do rewards matter when choosing a credit card?. Here is my monthly spending breakdown: online groceries, online food delivery, gas, little shopping on Amazon. Amazon prime from chase. 5% Amazon including fresh and Whole Foods, 2% gas and 1% everything else. I have that one, chase Freedom and chase sapphire preferred for travel.

I don’t like fees or spend enough for them to be worthwhile so I have an Amazon card for Amazon purchases (mentioned earlier) and a Citi Double Cash (2% back on everything) for everything else. I could probably optimize slightly more but the two work great as a set it and forget it tandem.

Capone 1.5% cash back for everything. Costco citi 4% fuel, 3% restaurants and travel, 2% Costco and 1% for everything else, Amex blue cash preferred for 6% on groceries.

Having to call Marriott to apply a suite night award to an SPG hotel on a reservation you made before the merger and combining accounts proves to you how much is still SO WRONG with this merger.

Adverse selection is a huge issue in trading. You never have perfect information and your decision won’t be perfect for the outcome. This usually means you’re too small in winners and too large in losers.

As markets crash we’re seeing something similar. People are ignoring bad outcomes when they should be working that much harder to protect previous gains and find new ideas. Lower traffic in this thread is a symptom of this phenomenon. Don’t quit just as the value of incremental effort ramps.

If I’m quoted 5.5 rate is it unwise to buy down to 5%? I plan on holding the home even if i move into a rental eventually. I guess I’m asking if you all think any chance rates go down because of a recessionary period…any folks have anecdotes of past recession and rates? It’s a good area and the home I’m looking at is 4/2.5 2000 sqft in an area w good schools so I’m less afraid of value drops in short term (listed 270k in tx)

Hello Folks,
Can you pls advise on which company to go for.
R-Systems : They are providing WFH + clarity on the project and team for which I’ll be working upon.
CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community.
HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two.
R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC.
YOE ~8
Skill set : . Net full stack + Angular + Azure

Thanks

Probably the antithesis of this bowl - but need some advice. This is for a house in a Southern metro. Built in 1960s completely remodeled in 2000s with some very recent additional remodeling of kitchen and bathrooms. Well kept house. The price will be nearly $1M, the same as something built in 2010+ with similar square footage (because a lot of the price is the lot, its a super expensive zip). Should I steer clear because of the age? Will it cost a ton in maintenance and utility bills?
