Talk to your creative resource manager and your PMs. If you become the person that says yes to everything without complaint, the people who do complain are going to keep pushing their work on to you.

Of course.
No. I’ve been getting better at learning when to say no when the work load feels too much or the deadline seems ludicrous.
I always said yes, but got laid off a couple times anyway. But any time I needed a new job, someone to whom I’d said yes wanted me back. And one time I got a cooler full of leftover photo shoot ham for working on a coupon insert. There ya go: Bonus ham.

I’ve definitely started speaking up and setting boundaries - especially since WFH started. I realized my “normal” is already well above and beyond so I don’t feel bad about saying no to things that would put me in a position where I’m carrying the workload of essentially two people.
Nope. Been firm and honest about my workload. But sometimes after saying no many times I feel guilty and say yes... Working on that

I was real with myself. Did I just not want to do it or was I legit too busy? If there was no way I could handle it or if it wouldn’t be good because I didn’t have the time or mental stamina to do the level of work I needed to, then I’d say no. But if I could reasonably take it on, I would.
That’s how you get the credibility to say no other times- though the trick is to avoid becoming the person they rely on whenever there’s and emergency. If you do good stuff, you also get opportunities and CDs wanting you on good projects.
