Is it SAFE joining Wipro as technical lead (B3) with 37LPA? Knowing that package is pretty high as compared to collogues in same band. HR is not ready to give project manager(C1) position.
Appreciate your suggestions/input.

Hey guys! So I’m starting to get interest in joining the FAAS sector within EY. My recruiter is asking me which part I would like to join, Finance or core/commercial. Does anyone have any insight on which might be better for growth, hours, work life balance etc? Would love to hear your thoughts EY

Does it make sense that I'm happy with the company and brand, but not happy that there aren't opportunities to sell or show off my skillset in the sector I'm stuck in?
I like it sometimes but on the whole, I'd rate it below average. Too much fake stress, inane people issues, politics, crappy quality of projects and pathetic bonus despite being a top performer. However, I'd say all of the big 4 is similar. Can't wait to find a gig where I'm truly happy and less stressed.
No I don't
not a bad firm, support service and ems can be better. However it feels like we are a turning point for greatness or failure now. So leadership is key.
It's a great company. Simple concept, if you have a work ethic and willing to invest in your career then they will invest back
Most of the time
Opinions will widely vary depending on practice and client engagement
^^^Here's why we are failing. This is the level of understanding and recognizing the problem that some bring to the table. People like EY7 will never focus on the problem or constructive feedback. They will find a race, religion, nationality and caste and start going on a super tangent. Not once will they look into what can be changed. And, EY7, I AM AN INDIAN. I am so tired of having to set aside the actual problem and prove my nationality and patriotism to you. Until, you guys stop practicing pseudo racism and focus on the feedback alone, everyone including the firm is lost.
@EY7 fake stress is accurate
Used to be great until 2012. From 2013, we started bringing all super delivery guys and made them managers and SM without thinking it through. They are basically heads down people and pretty incoherent during sales and orals. Then, we brought some real pos* who bring the rogue culture of accenture, Infosys, TCS and Wipro into EY. They have turned EY upside down. They can't speak, their behavior is rotten, they are micro managers and they think they are Big 4 worthy. When they open their mouth during calls, they put everyone to sleep. I am not picking on their accent or race but it's hard to ignore that they have zero leadership qualities, no presence and not to to mention no dynamism, enterprising or empowering qualities. The rogue culture of throwing everyone under the bus to survive has grown multifold. They think by making others fail, they succeed. I feel sorry for their foolishness
@ey2 is high on kool aid and ignorant. The concept is NOT simple, been in consulting long enough to see the game
Yes. I haven't heard a substantial reason why elsewhere is better. I have had four previous employers and EY is so far the best among them.
Would definitely echo all that people have already said. Yes it's a political and complex organization as it relates to getting to do what you want (but that's got to be the case everywhere). The firm really does invest in you - you get what you put into it. There is a lot of opportunity if you're willing to pursue it over time. That said, I think it's fair to say that EY is not a short term play. It's definitely one of those places where it takes a while to establish yourself and own your career trajectory - which is hard to do if you're in for say <2 years.
Former Deloitte here, happier at EY.
EY26 took a giant dump on Indians. 💩💩💩💩
pretty happy here
Very happy at EY.
Sounds like a bunch of disgruntled millennials who want to make 100k out of the gate and don't want to pay their dues. If not millennials that are disgruntled, then it's an even more sad state of affairs. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. The grass is not always greener.
It almost looks like two EYs exist. One in HR and leadership's mind and one in reality and the two are very different.
Yeah, it's pretty easy to do flex trips. I go on about 2 a month
