I feel like they're pretty easy to talk to, but not really helpful when it comes to issues... they've got so much on their plate and usually seem pretty disconnected from "issues," so that part is tough because we have to figure them out on our own most of the time.

I know it’s a challenge …
Just recently i found out that my boss actually believes in me and has my back. I went to them for an issue, and before I even started she told me it was okay, and that she knows I didn't do that. Is there much she can do aside from talk me down? Not really, but it's nice to know I have someone in my corner.

That’s so important ! I’m glad you realized that when you went for an issue !
I'm always leery about how much I can say to my manager and how much I can truly trust him. Not that he's ever given me reason not to. I guess I've just been burned in the past and now I'm jaded.
