Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.
Is Qualys MNC company?
Happy Monday everyone, gotta start the week strong 🥃

Yes but I don't wear pants.
The hell?
That's a thing?? I must have lived under a rock...
Sadly the perception is, engagement ring: you're getting married soon and will need extended time off. With a wedding band, you're gonna have kids ☹️
Wedding ring, yes. Engagement ring, no. Too much risk for assumptions/judgment about whether you "need" your salary. 🙄
Sweet Jesus. I don't know what's worse...that people do this, or that they feel the need to do it in the first place.
If you are a woman, and wearing a wedding ring - some people may assume that you are not as committed to work or that you will soon have kids - unfortunate but common practice.
Wonder if most saying NO are female...smart to not wear it until after salary negiociation. If you're male it works in your favor to leave it on
I've never heard of this!?
Errrrr..... yeah?
Whaaaat???? Holy shite can't believe this is a concern that so many share
Such mythical tropes. You think this is the case but it's not. I've knowingly hired pregnant women. If you're good, no one is hiring you for the short term.
I'd love to hear more from the folks who did this and thought it made a difference.
Wait, what?
No
Did not wear my engagement/wedding rings to interview.
I rock that shit!
