To be fair, idk what is worse: Getting a meeting on your calendar on a Friday for Monday with no context only to find out blindly your company was acquired, or your situation where you have to anxiously wait in perpetuity knowing something is coming. I don’t have much advice, try to keep busy I guess. Maybe update your LinkedIn too, try to reframe the situation so you “believe” good change is coming. But best of luck. 🤞🏽
Yes, I would consider this a red flag. Get your resume updated, start networking, and in Jan, put your resume out there to see what options there are.
If it’s not a red flag, you’ve not lost much by getting your ducks in a row.
Cruelty has been normalized so telling them these red flags are toxic is singing to the void. How awful. I hope they're good changes but its always best to structure change. Many dominate companies have been leveled with seemingly small red flags that no one considered could decimate moral. But its the small moments that count.
I don’t think my response was cruel. It was an honest opinion to a question asked. It would have been cruel to believe there could be trouble ahead and pretend all is hunky dory.
Maybe I misunderstood your comment. And I agree, I truly hope they’re positive changes coming OPs way.
