In spite of having applied for many jobs at Citi (including the referrals), I have not got any calls from Citi.
I do not understand what's wrong with my profile ! I do get calls from other Captives but not from the Citi.
Are there any hacks to get calls from Citi ? Citi @citibank

I'm a fan of promoting from within when it makes sense. It's good for morale and employee retention. People aren't going to stick around if they don't think they have any chance at moving up. But having said that, I wouldn't advocate promoting from within just for the sake of doing it. If there aren't any qualified internal candidates, you're obligated to do what's best for the restaurant and look outside.
I’m sure there was somebody brought in from the outside who did a great job at some point in time, but I haven’t seen it. Most outside managers come in on a power trip because they are new.
I think it's super important for companies to promote from within. Sure, it might have a few drawbacks, but I think the benefits far away those. It rewards loyalty and gives your employees something to work towards.
If you can, promote from within - but consider if your company needs improvement - sometimes an outsider can bring in fresh ideas or improve morale in surprising ways. Other times it can backfire and just make the place toxic…
