How do you find in-house positions?
Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Honestly I think it depends on the design. If designed well then it can be efficient to manage, reduced downtime for new deployments, scalable. But poorly designed then creates more work for the team, requires team to scale up to manage etc. I’ve seen a microservices app at a client with 80+ microservices that made up 1 app. Needed a whole offshore team to manage it.

What a horror story and good to be reminded that a respectable limit to them
Microservices has always depended on the team that designs it. If the team is good at creating reusable components it will be powerful at any level. A more mature devops team that focus on IaC would also work at any level. It depends, the final decision always come down to cost. But I’ve seen too many implement microservices without understanding wth they are doing.
