1 day of my cycle each month is like this. I just live with it since it’s only 1 day. Good luck - I’m sorry you’re feeling like this.
Typically for stomach issues I really like chewable peptos. Also an ibuprofen for pains, it seems to work better than tylenol/acetaminophen for me. It’s hard to find OTC things that consistently work. Sometimes those don’t even work for me and I’m still feeling awful for a week plus.
try some digestive enzymes! i get papaya enzymes from whole foods and they help with bloating and gas so much— they’re also very good for travel
Have you ever looked into learning more about endometriosis? It is also possible that you may not drink enough water or you are sensitive and hyper aware of your body. Have you spoken with your doctor about your symptoms and what it looks like during your menstruation cycle? Different foods also play a role and affect how we feel. I read a book titled Fast Like a Girl and it changed the way I view my cycle. Hopefully it will help you and guide you to the right foods that will aid in your care.
They’re called period sh*ts for a reason lol
Yes, this is very normal
I think it's somewhat normal, but I would try an elimination diet to see if certain foods you're eating are exacerbating your issues. Typically high-sugar diets can cause all kinds of issue bc of increased inflammations.
Mine used to be worse but I think what I was eating is what exacerbated it. After controlling my diet better I haven’t had many issues, even my cramps are much better now.
Have you seen a doctor to find out whether it’s IBS?
