Has anyone worked out the next day after getting stitches? I got one tiny stitch on my arm and the doctor recommends not doing any workouts for a week to avoid infection. But idk if I can do that—I think I’d go a little crazy. Anyone have any experience?

Yes, stay home and rest. Doctor’s orders. You’ll be okay! Take it day by day

like

Your doctor had a reason for their recommendation, so best to just follow it. A week will pass before you know it.

If you really feel you can’t hold out, give their office a call and ask if there are any gentle workouts you can do.

like

Listen to your doctor. Else you’ll deal with the consequences then you’ll know whether waiting a week was all that bad afterall.

like

Don’t be dumb, lay off for a week. You’ll be fine.

like

yes! You don’t want to get it infected.

and a week off running won’t do any harm

like

Why risk it?

like

Yeah some sepsis sounds real fun 😵‍💫 you're not gonna waste away in a week. Just go for some walks and enjoy!

like

Doesn’t sound worth it. Just stay home. Maybe find out if you can take a walk.

Let it heal

Just have a lot more protein to make sure muscles don’t decline as fast as they would otherwise. That’s what I would do and let it heal.

Take the week. If you work out and something happens you're only delaying your healing time

it’s actually good for you to take breaks from working out. Gotta shock the muscles

Does Next Gen issue a formal report for PGS testing results? I had my embryos tested and my clinic just told me which were normal and abnormal. No other info on embryos ratings, etc. they could have not even sent it in for all I know!
Also, how involved are you REs? I’ve been through 2 retrievals now, but feel kinda in the dark still on a lot of things. Some of the nurses are hit or miss and if I want to talk to my doctor I have to schedule a consultation and its typically a 2 week wait.

Trigger: rare illness post birth

Just sharing that I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia 3 days after giving birth despite not having risk factors or preeclampsia in my pregnancy. Sharing as I had absolutely no idea about this illness.

Main things to do are check your BP everyday at least the first ten days after you give birth, and go to hospital if it's very high (over 160/110). If you get severe headache or stomach ache then also be vigilant.

Happy to answer any questions!

Sweaty post-workout question. If I finish a bike or run in the heat I am usually just pouring sweat for the next 15 or so mins. So I've gotten into the habit of just putting a towel or yoga mat down on the floor and laying/stretching until I am not going to throw sweat everywhere or step in to the shower and step out still sweating. Is there a better version of this maybe for recovery or even just not wasting time waiting?
