My tip would be to stay and get 1-2 yr of experience under your belt and then try to lateral. Based on some of the posts in the biglaw bowl, it sounds like more than a few laid-off assocs would love to be where you are now.

Always apply and network. Apply to at least 3 roles a month. Talk with recruiters and attend events in your interests.
Welcome to New York City, the concrete jungle of "big opportunities”; oh, well that's what they say. Anyway, if you are a new graduate, start small and connect or network with your peers. Always remember that lawyering is not all about the smarts and working for the big firms or corporations but your ability to network with potential clients. So, find yourself working with small to medium corporate firms as a startup.
