Can someone explain the benefit of whole life or similar products? I understand that they are bad for 99.9% of people. How does the 0.1% benefit? Taxes? Asset protection?

I'm struggling to understand why anyone would use these at all. Significantly caps your upside. If you are uber wealthy, why wouldn't you continue investing in the market? Why pay the crazy fees for these products that are essentially just 90% treasury bonds and 10% levered ETFs and covered calls?

How are you guys handling your mental health with job rejections or not getting interviews? Is it a usual practice in SAP LABS to keep experienced hires in 6 months probation period?

I booked a mat leave coverage that was supposed to run from June-Aug. I got 2 weeks in and resourcing called to say they found an internal resource to cover and they were cancelling my contract immediately. It sucked, but I get it.
