Not necessarily a strict rule at all firms, but directionally...
If you are there less than 6 months prior to a raise (as a lateral hire), then you probably get a partial raise. If more than 6 months, then depends on value and how you integrated, etc. Also depends on starting lateral salary. If someone got a huge bump and came in high, then maybe partial raise.
I started in January and got the same raise as others in my class (those that had started July or Sept of PY).

Because its your annual salary being impacted. It would make sense for a performance bonus obviously.
I know typically those who are here less than a year do not get a full raise as you normally would get but the promotion is a wild card

Yes we do. Why doesn’t that make sense OP? We pay for performance!
Yes but if you only contributed for half the year it is hard for me to think you earned a full raise. I always pro-rate!
