What's the best all around consulting service line in public accounting. That is considering everything - WLB, pay, exit opps, etc

Just received an offer letter for 80k with 10% bonus structure, 3 YOE, Houston TX for full cycle recruitment including college recruiting (would be the only recruiter, company went public this year)… 80k was the salary they would offer “the right candidate”, wondering if I should counter? I feel like it’s a competitive offer for my YOE but not 100% sure

Need some advice I feel like I'm about to get 2 offers:

1. Content Marketing Manager remote for a pre seed tech start up. I'd be the 2nd hire growing the product (probably 125k total). Seems riskier?

2. Associate Brand Manager at big corporate role is hybrid (also seems super faced paced and high stress/long hours) probably around 117 base + 30% bonus.

Single dad and have worries making less then 80-85k if I change companies. Don’t have degree but considered a top store managing about 20 people. Not getting the opp to progress past this level. What are good areas I should be looking at? Staying in sales or managing sales? Account manager etc. Not a fan of cold call type roles

I can provide these for my current company, but difficult to get for earlier ones, since it's been almost 10 yrs I have left them. I have written to hr of previous companies but no response yet.

Hi! I need some help negotiating a raise. I have been working for this company for exactly 3 months now, but I was hired as an AGM. I'm not specific on what my responsibilities are as AGM.
However the GM at the time, quit 1 and a half months in. I was thrown into the role and have been handling it since.
My regional calls himself our GM but is never on site.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

I have an interview next week and want to vet the new law firm with questions to determine if there’s a good work-life balance, respect for how work is delegated (i.e., attorneys are not routinely asked to do obvious paralegal work), and what overall systems/structures are in place to make it a functional/successful environment. What sorts of questions do you think would get this info and also cut through the usual bs of “we’re a family here” when in reality no one talks to each other?

From the outside, I always thought of PE firms to be well-oiled machines where everyone is working hard but with a clear purpose. Now starting at an LMM as a senior associate I feel kind of lost. It’s chaos - every person above me wants something else and there are constant discussions, bickering and politics being played. Is this representative of other (LMM?) PE firms, or did I get unlucky? It feels like a tech startup lol.

How meaningful are CPEA and SPEA certifications in the world PE consulting?

I’ve been getting recruiting emails from PE HH firms for immediate start, but I would like to stay at McK at least until end of this year (I recently started here and am just not prepared on technicals yet). When does the official on-cycle recruiting start, and when would be the earliest start date in 2023?
