Been with company for 2.5 years in a SFA role, and they just let me hire an associate financial analyst reporting into me. My manager never mentioned anything in regards to a promotion, but when I asked, I was told that there will be an evaluation period before any promotion is given. Research for State, National, and Industry averages has been mostly unhelpful because they're all different. The lowest Average is 35k, and the Highest average is 45k. I am currently doing my full-time internship at a startup where I am getting paid 17$/hr. I will most probably be continuing with them in Fall as a part-time and asked for an upgrade to 25$/hr. I’ve been a general manager for a convenience store for almost 2 years now. I have raised profit after variable expenses by 13% compared to last year, and exceeding budgets in almost every category except for turnover. I got an 11% raise last year, but still only make $55k. I’m used to sales roles having a base+ commission structure with bonuses. If they are offering just a base, how would you take into account negotiations?

I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary. I’m the only person in my role at the company and have been a key person in developing our team as we look to expand. Is this unreasonable? Is there a normal increase given with promotions?
