I always send them. It's common courtesy.
I've always sent thank you emails. Some times this little extra effort has gotten me an offer.
Believe post interview thank yous are a must. If you want the job it's the least you can do.
I don't send thank-you notes, but I receive thank-you cards from every person that interviews me, probably because I'm so charming and witty.
It's made the difference for me in hiring and being hired as well. Doesn't hurt, as long as you keep it short and personalized to the individual(s) you spoke with (we always compare them!)
Yes I sent them recently after my interviews and the ones that responded sent me offers so I think they appreciated it.
I send thank you emails.
Interesting.... I have sent them in the past when I was applying to more jr level roles. Was having a discussion with my colleagues about it, is it common courtesy to thank a person for their time. Or respect their time and headspace and not send
I sent handwritten thank you cards for a job I really wanted...Everyone I interviewed kept them at their desks! 👌
I tend to receive quite a few from entry level folks. I always write an email if I can get the contact info during an interview, especially if I want it.
I always at least write an email. And prefer to send/get a hand written note. It's shows that the person is serious and really wants the position.
I send a thank you email a week or two after the interview. It is a good way to show interest and follow up. Also, good to touch on a couple shared topics, reinforces interest and attention to detail.
I've sent hand written notes.
^Agree. Just received thank you notes (emails or written) from 3 of 5 candidates. I noticed.
Sometimes makes the difference. I have only gotten one once. I send them and always get a positive comment about them when I am hired
I've received hand written notes and emails, and while it's nice, it doesn't influence who I hire.
Always at least an email.
