Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?

I’ve gotten 2-3 jobs by literally knocking on doors. (I’m 35.) I’m in a second-tier market, and if I see someone is hiring, I just drop off a resume. No expectation to talk. But a hard copy lands on someone’s desk a lot more often
I have started to think this might be the ONLY way for your resume to get noticed. I feel like the software algorithms weed out a lot of really good people and for all the wrong reasons. Before the internet, creative people actually did a lot of creative things to get noticed. Maybe it’s time to start doing that again. Like the radical notion of showing up, as a sentient human being not a digital representation tossed into the ether, but a person with a face, a smile, and a good, firm handshake.
I'm likely 15 years older than you and that never occurred to me.
It's a little odd, might turn off some people but others might find it endearing.
Either way, I like the way you think. What job are you looking for?
Thank you!
I live in LA, but have recently shifted my verticals to wanting to work on the digital advertising, marketing and promotional side of the music & entertainment industries.
I have been applying online and trying to connect with recruiters through LinkedIn, but haven’t had much luck which has led me to wanting to go in person to their main offices to drop off my resumes/apply instead.
Less 👻ing perhaps. Great idea!
Who would you even be able to talk to. Just leave it at reception? I guess you could, but seems kinda weird. No one is going to take time to meet you and get your resume without a meeting on their books
A freelancer friend of mine sends sweet treats with her resume to recruiters who are scoping projects interesting to her. Thus far, she’s always gotten interviews and then has been successful in landing most jobs
I can't imagine this would get you past building security in NYC (Hudson Yards, Soho or Mad Ave agencies). "Hi, I'm here for X agency on floor 9, they aren't expecting me". Not happening.
If you deliver it via a messenger, I think it’d work in NYC. But you’d have to know the person’s name
It wouldn’t work in NYC. Too much security to get past
