Does changing job often like every two years or so affects your career in future/long term?

Question arises in front of employers who care about reputation more than Business and work ethics. I have seen people of making it a habit to not stay at any organisation for more than 2-3 years.

At a senior level, yes. Junior levels - absolutely not.

It depends on what you're position is. If you are entering to mid-career, it makes sense but as a director, VP, etc., it's better to have longevity in those roles.

like

Not nearly as much as it used to, because I think it's a generational thing. Millennials don't tend to stay at a job for a long time before moving on. That being said, I think it's important to have a reason behind your job hopping. For instance, if you change companies every couple of years, it should be for growth or another obvious opportunity that you can justify in an interview. Also, the higher your position, the greater the impact will be.

I don't think it matters as much anymore, as long as you can explain why. I think it has become a lot more common (especially to get a salary hike) so people understand.

Hello fellow SAP Consultants!
I am SAP HCM consultant having 4.10 years of experience. I feel that this module doesn’t have any growth. My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.
