I’ve been a licensed general lines (2-20) insurance agent for year and a half and have sold around 2M in premium, of which most of it is personal lines (homeowners, DP), and some commercial lines business. Even though I’m licensed to write my own business, the sole producer in the company is my boss. I currently make 35k + 15k in commissions (approximately). Is this a normal salary? Or how much should I be making? Appreciate your help

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? I've never worked at another firm.

Curious what other junior associates at PR agencies are making off the bat? I earned my master’s degree last year and accepted a JA role for $36K. Recently, my salary was adjusted to $40K due to having been on the lower end of the pay spectrum for my role. Wondering if my new salary is more aligned with others at my level.

I have had a couple of interviews with good startup product companies where the main issue is my 90 days of notice period. Most startups simply run away at the mention of 90 days NP.

Even established product companies shy away at this. Has anyone recently switched despite this long a notice period?

Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got a much higher offer for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but need time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.

Is Operations paid the least at your respective firms? I was hired to a Client Service Delivery role with a heavy focus on project management. Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). I'm not sure how to reply to them because I have a feeling that my requirement may be out of their range and while I don't want to undercut my value, I also don't want to be cut out of the process because it's an interesting co.
