Does EY drug test? I only do edibles and wondering if I should have one last hoorah before my start date next month or if I can hold onto my stash for the remainder of the year.

EY doesn’t, but some clients (largely in financial services and government) do. Usually not a big deal to tell your engagement lead so you can be replaced before you get staffed on one, especially if it’s legal where you live.

I was about to get staffed on something .. heard they were testing and shared I have my card .. project happened anyway w/o test. So it really does depend, but always be honest.

Yes on a weekly basis

Half the people at EY I know are stoners

Depends on the client. If it’s a financial institution usually yes when you get onboarded. Federal clients might depending on what they feel like doing. I’d do a little T break when you’re expecting to get staffed on a new client.

Life sciences and Pharmacy companies often do.

But yall know you can purge yourself within a day right? It won't show. Are they doing a follicle test?

That doesn't always work.

I’ve only ever been drug tested once for a remote mine site, but it is client-based.

Before Covid I worked for a mfg company in Ohio that drug tested all employees and contractors monthly.

Don’t do it within a month of your test ornwhen yoh expect to get tested. You’ll be tested when younstart then ey will not test again. Some clients test, but you should have a good heads up on that

You will not get tested when you join the firm. This is incorrect

like

Drug testing is normally at client request, usually for clearance on financial or governmental jobs. Otherwise, it is not automatic.

EY hasn’t in the decade I have been here but I have had two clients require it pre staffing. Store your stuff until you get staffed on a project and know the score. That said, if you give them any reason to doubt, they can require a test so don’t show up to client site reeking.

I don't think so. Not from what I have heard.

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.
