Does having a PMP certificate helps start a PM career?

I’ve been in the tech sales industry for around 5 years now and am looking for a mentor to pick their mind in just experience, how they found progression, what they’d recommend and just a push as a whole

What books would you recommend for someone wanting to get better at sales?

Having seen some of the wild stuff in the past couple years does anyone have a good pointer for a basic “medic” course? Help slow/stop the “oh sh*t” for the real folks to get there?

Can't really share this with anyone else, so thank you fellow fish for indulging. 3 years in, finally at a point where I can comfortably work 40 hours a week the last quarter+, and still be a trusted team member and major contributor. Normal tasks and collaborations now take me a fraction of the time compared to my first couple years / others on the team. 6 YOE and my TC has also gone up a lot from low 200s last year to high 200s this year. Hope to keep this optimal mix of WLB & progression 🙏

Been a coach at the collegiate level for 6 years. Make a $65k salary. Want to leave coaching and break into sales/marketing/recruiting/consulting. I have ample leadership and recruiting experience with a strong work ethic.

Which one should I go for?

1. Oracle - 18.3 LPA fixed + probable bonus (I may or may not get)
2. Amadeus - 18 fixed + 1.5 variable.

Amadeus is also giving joining bonus of 75k. Amadeus is paying more, may give better hikes too, but I am finding it hard to let go off Oracle's brand name on my resume even if it's means around 2L less over an year. I am planning to work for atleast 3 years in my next company.

What would you have done in my place? Should I go for Oracle or Amadeus?

Given the continuing chip shortage situation- what changes are you making to your embedded code bases to handle hardware changes?

I wanted to start a thread. What vitamins / supplements / medications are you taking for your menopause symptoms? I’m supposed to take Estradiol pills twice per day but sometimes am horrible at remembering. I should be taking D3 per my Doctor but when I ran out earlier in the year I never bought more. What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? Hi fellow PMs, Question for the group: has anyone here made the switch from being a creative agency PM to a digital producer or digital agency PM? I am an associate project manager at a top agency and know I am severely underpaid. But Can I get a range of what I should be paid?
