Does KPMG give a stipend for WFH? I want to buy a new desk and office supplies I just started today

Why Google is so anti remote . I know collaboration is cool, but if I am good with remote work then what is the issue . Been mostly remote for past 6 years without issues .

My company just announced they are stopping our monthly cell phone stipend. My team is remote and of course as recruiters we are constantly on the phone calling candidates. I am going to build a case for my team and try to fight this. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Just need to vent. Our school district announced that the fall will be fully remote. Starting from June the district kept promising that schools will reopen for in person classes. The district conducted a survey, which showed that almost 90% of parents voted for in-person or hybrid (more for in-person actually). Then another survey that gave similar results. Then the teachers voted. Surprise, surprise-90% for remote. Continued in comments.

Hi everyone I'm looking for advice: I'm currently a R.V.T (vet tech) that works for Fuzzy telemedicine 100% remote job. The job it self isn't bad I just know this isn't my passion anymore. I've been wanting to do a career change for a while but I'm at lost to what direction to go. I have management experience, I was a photo editor for my college newspaper, I traveled as a Barista across the nation doing expo shows. I love travel,photography and coffee. What are peoples opinions on work from home? It seems to be an unpopular opinion but as a junior I despise it. I work 3 feet from my bed, I find the barriers of a phone/email between me and a senior to add a huge amount of stress to my life and I think it’s stunting my career development at my firm because I can’t build relationships as effectively. I’ve never at all had mental health issues before but now am really starting to feel burnt out and anxious most of the time. What do you think?

I recently (August 2021) took a job in-house in Houston after leaving a firm. My partner lives in LA but freelances so the decision was to take a good in-house job and then he would move to Houston and work remote. However, he’s started to get great directing and editing gigs in LA and now it seems impractical for him to move to Houston or even split time. Turning 30 in 2 months. Feeling like I missed out on maxing out last year+ of being in my 20s due to COVID/WFH. What are some things I can do (health, skin, wellbeing, wardrobe, etc) to end my 20s with a bang and start my 30s feeling like my best self and more confident/positive. Happily married/no kids.
