Not that I know of, but you can get two monitors and a USB-C docking station.

Just go on a shopping trip on Coupa. Can’t buy a desk, though, as that’s furniture.

Search the portal.

They do in California and Illinois, it’s required by law. Extra line item in your paystub. Not one of those states, no dice.

K3, interesting…I haven’t seen this in the real world at any/most companies in CA or IL and I’ve worked in both states.

I think last years 1k bonus was considered a wfh stipend. One time tho

We got $300/quarter (or one time payment of $1,200) which we could use for just about anything (food, equipment, etc). I’m hoping they do it again. I didn’t expect to use all of it on WFH equipment but since we’ve been working from home 2 years I’ve upgraded my entire home office (4 computer screens, comfortable desk chair, huge desk, etc). I’m probably down $2k which is not as much as my other coworkers have spent on their home offices.

Mine typically is spent on whiskey

My company just announced they are stopping our monthly cell phone stipend. My team is remote and of course as recruiters we are constantly on the phone calling candidates. I am going to build a case for my team and try to fight this. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Just need to vent. Our school district announced that the fall will be fully remote. Starting from June the district kept promising that schools will reopen for in person classes. The district conducted a survey, which showed that almost 90% of parents voted for in-person or hybrid (more for in-person actually). Then another survey that gave similar results. Then the teachers voted. Surprise, surprise-90% for remote. Continued in comments.

What are peoples opinions on work from home? It seems to be an unpopular opinion but as a junior I despise it. I work 3 feet from my bed, I find the barriers of a phone/email between me and a senior to add a huge amount of stress to my life and I think it’s stunting my career development at my firm because I can’t build relationships as effectively. I’ve never at all had mental health issues before but now am really starting to feel burnt out and anxious most of the time. What do you think?

I recently (August 2021) took a job in-house in Houston after leaving a firm. My partner lives in LA but freelances so the decision was to take a good in-house job and then he would move to Houston and work remote. However, he’s started to get great directing and editing gigs in LA and now it seems impractical for him to move to Houston or even split time. I love my company but their HQ is in houston and they won’t allow remote work. Continued in comments…

Turning 30 in 2 months. Feeling like I missed out on maxing out last year+ of being in my 20s due to COVID/WFH. What are some things I can do (health, skin, wellbeing, wardrobe, etc) to end my 20s with a bang and start my 30s feeling like my best self and more confident/positive. Happily married/no kids. Fairly active and already take pretty good care of my skin but there’s always room for improvement!

My firm just announced they want to return to the office at pre pandemic levels (i.e. going in five days a week). How realistic is this? Just thinking about going back 5 days makes me anxious. How realistic is it to ask to work from home 2-3 days a week? I am a junior associate and recently moved to this firm.
