[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?
Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

Bain & Company Hello, I received an offer as a Senior Practice Manager at Bain. The profit sharing range is 0-12% in the offer letter. Is it typical to receive the midpoint (6%)? Also, what do the annual salary increases typically look like? Any insights are much appreciated. Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company
BCG final round interview in a week. Any tips on what to expect in a partner level conversation?
- how is it different than the round 1 experience?
- how important is the casing component? I'm doing pretty well, but not perfect. Friends have been eating me 8/10, with the need to improve structure and be more top down in my communication. I'm wondering what I can do to improve that in a week and if that will be a deal breaker on interview day?

I think you find both types - the ones who solve for lifestyle and jump at the drop of a hat, and will usually be spending time *ONLY* on implementation projects.
And the ones who are more concerned about being on the cutting edge and tend to do more strategy/ diagnostic / diligence style critical thinking. And i don’t know statistically, but anecdotally are considered sharper / more likely to be effective with clients as they climb ranks, and less likely to move just for an extra buck.
Both broad generalizations with plenty of exceptions, but I also don’t know if your hiring criteria / capabilities are able to parse through this lens, so it could simply be selection bias.
Agreed that those are broad generalizations. Personally I’d argue there as many people who worship at the altar of the perfect answer who completely ignore the human aspect, hence doom clients to have wasted their money, as there are the ones you mention.
More constructively, if I were a client I would have a very defined problem within a very defined timespan for an MBB to solve. I would free up enough employees to work with them on an FTE basis, ensuring roadblock removal, minimising scope creep and gaining skills.
I mean… what are you hiring MBB for?
