Does your company have a dress code? I'm coming from a company where everyone wore anything they wanted to a strict business casual. How common is this?

Officially there is a business casual dress code but it isn’t really mandated. I have bought some new clothes, just to explore how casual I can come to work lol. But yeah sometimes you just find yourself in a company that follows strict dress code.

We have a dress code for PPE requirements. I have worked with some companies that do have a dress code of sorts. It often came up in regard to community relations.

lol, business casual is not “strict”

Ours was fairly loose being just pants of some type and a collared shirt.

Our dress code is just business casual. we can't wear jeans except on Fridays but other than that its fairly laid back.

Only at our main office

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. I wish the worst part about it was the amount of work, rather than the completely toxic culture, lack of appreciation, arbitrary and back/breaking deadlines, lack of mentorship/feedback/training, and the fact that the associates act like they don’t even know each other. I cry every day and constantly am made to feel stupid for not understanding the highly technical (cont.)
